Brief Answer:
deffective enamel and dentin, composite, crown

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The chipping off of tooth structure can be because of the defect in enamel or dentin formation during development of teeth(amalogenesis or dentinogenesis imperfecta).
Nothing to be panic, if it is a small piece of tooth structure that is lost, it can be restored with composite(tooth color restoration).
If too much of tooth structure is lost, then it has to be restored with a crown. Consult a oral physician and get it done.
This is the possible cause and treatment plan based on your description of the condition. If you can take a photograph and upload the images, i can give exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope my answer will help you. Take care.

Brief Answer:
composite, veneers, onlays

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply.
Till you get the crown done, protect your teeth by not biting on hard things to prevent further fracture of teeth.
You can also get the teeth restored with composites or veneers or onlays. Try to get it done as early as possible, because once the tooth breaks more than 3/4th then it cannot be restored.
I hope my answer will help you. Take care.
