What Causes Constant Cough Even After Throat Infection Treatment?

We visited the doctor again & he told that the infection has subsided considerably. However, her coughing hasn't stopped. Mainly during the nights & she unable to sleep at all. Could there be other symptoms that might be causing constant coughing? Is there anything else that I should get checked?
Check BP medications
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Gone through the report.
The BP medications that has 'PRIL' on it would have cough as its side effect.
Also there is a need to check if it is viral infection and pneumonia. We need to check ALLERGENS and post nasal drip in elderly as well. Check if there is any recent change in weather water, some new things that came into her routine which can be allergens.
The cilia or the hair in the nose and throat of elderly would not work as it works in adults. So it will not be able to filter a lot of unwanted things. Hence it triggers cough in the throat.
Right now she requires following investigations to prove a diagnosis
ENT examination
Chest Xray
Spirometry if required to test asthma or bronchitis
So please get these things
