What Causes Constant Coughing When Suffering From Post Nasal Drainage?

Antihistamine and codeine sulphate necessary
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:
1. Tylenol is for pain. It does not reduce mucus secretions or relief from sinus.
2. You can take antihistamine like loratidine or cetrizine, which will completely reduce further secretions.
3. Additionally steam inhalation and salt water gargling twice a day will be helpful. If cough is severe, you can codeine suphate for suppression of cough. You will need prescription for this.
4. Regularly clear the nose, expressing forcibly with one nostril closed and alternately another.
Lozenges for throat soothening can be taken.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
