What Causes Constant Fever?
Question: Hi my widal report shows TO 1/120 but TH NEAGATIVE and I have constant fever of 100 and 101...my esr and urine complete is ok...what can be the reason of fever iam feeling very depressed plss guide

Your next set of blood tests should include
1. USG abdomen and pelvis
2. Chest x ray
3. Repeat of complete blood count
4. Weil XXXXXXX test
5. Brucella test
You have been given the right antibiotics however it has not covered atypical organisms. I strongly recommend that you are put on Tab Doxy 100 mg twice daily for cover this as well.
If you were my patient I would have admitted you to diagnose the cause for the fever.

thnks for reply sir...just tell me one last thing..in ur opinion do I have a TYPOID or not...so that I may procedd accordingly..n Do you suggest for urine culture..so that the detail analysisi of the same can be done

I don't think it is typhoid simply because patients with typhoid will have high grade fever and by 10 days they will be very sick and toxic. One other point is you should have responded to treatment by now for typhoid as you have received cephalosporins.
There is no need to get a urine culottes done if your urine routine does not show pus cells. I rather have you get a blood culture
