What Causes Constant Heaviness In The Abdomen Despite Following A Low-fat Diet To Deal With Pancreatitis?

Question: i was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis. i have been on strict diet which was recommended by the doctors ( low fat high). Its been a month since i had the last attack but i still feel heaviness in my abdominal area. Is this normal. also while i understand the need for being a cautious eater, will i ever be able to go back to trying normal food ( with oil or dairy etc) occasionally. please suggest
Brief Answer:
Heaviness in the abdomen is normal. Can eat oily much later on.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
* The recovery of pancreatitis depends upon many factors as an underlying cause, associated conditions, immunity of the patient and others.
* Some bloating, heaviness does remain up to certain time period depending upon the case, which is normal.
* Once the complete resolution of the pathology is there, later on in future you may take occasional dairy items as well, there is no restriction for the rest of your life.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wish you fine recovery.
