Question: I have a constant itching in my anal area. Don't believe it's hemorrhoids. Most relief is when I take an Epson salt sith bath. Have tried anti-itching creams but they don't seem to work.

The most probable causes can be:
Peri-anal skin condition akin to dermatitis. The causes can be varied like local skin changes, secondary infection if the per
Intestinal infection causing the itching.
Anal fissure
Rarely, malignancy is considered.
For the proper diagnosis I would advise you the following:
Clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon : local examination, Per-rectal examination, ano-proctoscopy.
Colonoscopy, considering your age.
Further investigations as per the clinical findings and reports of investigations.
Tests of stool, blood and urine.
