Brief Answer:
Meniere's disease is unilateral but the other ear may be affected .

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Meniere's disease is unilateral but the other ear may be affected after a few years.

If I were your treating doctor , I would advice
get the latest pure tone audiometry done to rule out Meniere's disease in other ear .
Till then , i would advice
avoid tea / coffee ,
use low salt diet ,
use regular blood pressure pill . Blood pressure pill - Diuretics (Tab spironolactone) is helpful in Meniere's disease . It will decrease Meniere's disease as well as hypertension . You can discuss this with your treating doctor.

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.
