What Causes Constant Pain In The Right Breast?
Question: Since christmas i have had some discomfort in my right breast and into my arm pit. The last 5 days it has become very painful esp. to touch. What could this be?
Hi,
Sometimes such problem may be before periods&goes as the period starts.it's ďue to hormone deficiency.&replacement cures.
Your symptoms also suggest injury/infection of breast which has resulted in inflammation &swelling of breast tissue &lymph glands in axilla.
You need consultation of a physician/surgeon for advicing specific antibiotic
Thx. Hit thx if useful

Brief Answer:
Consult a doctor to differentiate/ specific management
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the follow up information. Now that your problem is not related to menses& also it's long running... I would like to add few more possibilities.
-If you are breast feeding... milk secretion can collect in breast & it's tail in armpit to produce abscess like condition.
- Women on long acting contraceptives/ some oral contraceptives can have such pain as a side effect.
-Bone weakness due to calcium & vitamin D deficiency can lead to such pain due to weakness of rib at the site of pain.
- Breast cancer is a rare possibility at your age specially in association of pain.
* you are going to doctor .. it's good ... for physical examination& some needful investigations would help in diagnosis
Till then you can take over the counter medicine like Brufen 400 mg after food.
Do not massage. Hot fomentation in limit would do.
Hope this helps you. Any follow up is welcome.
Thanks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for the quick follow up.
I have one more thing to add. Heavy, unsupported breasts can produce such pain. A well supporting bra is an answer. In case this is not applicable, you should proceed to doctor's appointment & get proper solution.
Wishing you all the best,
Thanks.
