My 13 months old daughter had food at 7 pm in evening today and after one hour she staring vomiting
She vomited 5 times since then and took out whatever she ate
Again I gave her some khichri at 10:30 and immediately she vomited badly
She started taking out her teeth just last week
What should I do ?
Is it something to worry about ?
Give some antiemetic. Give ORS. Monitor urinary frequency.

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
It seems that your child is suffering from food poisoning. You need not worry. As of now the mainstay of treatment would be to replace the salt and water lost through vomiting. You need to give her ORS (oral rehydration solution) sip by sip. If the hydration is proper, there should be no need to worry. The indicator of proper hydration would be the frequency of passage of urine. If that is normal, you need not worry. Otherwise you need to increase the ORS intake. If you still do not feel comfortable, you might need to visit a doctor.
You also need to give some antiemetics like ondansetron alongwith.
Give feeds as tolerated. Do not force-feed. It might take a few days for the vomiting to come back to normal. Till then you would have to bear patience. Do not panic.
Let me know if I could be of further assistance.

She had some Sood of water before sleeping but I think not enough
Should I wake her up and make her drink ORS or she may sleep
How can I know she is hydrated if not ?
The frequency of passage of urine denotes the level of hydration.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I do not think that you need to wake her to feed her. Let her sleep. You need to get concerned only if she gets up and starts vomiting again. If the frequency of passage of urine is more than 6-10 times over 24 hours, it indicates a normal hydration status. If not, she needs to drink more amount of fluids.
