What Causes Constipation And Blood In Stool After Taking Cipro?

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Jan 2017
Question: I have pain/burning in the upper right part of my abdomen, had a scan CT scan with contrast 3 weeks ago, they said all looked fine other than some inflammation in the colon. They gave me Cipro and within a few days the pain diminished, then disappeared. I had some pretty bad constipation with the Cipro, and may have developed hemorrhoids as a result. I have itching, and this morning there was some blood on the tp when I had a bowel movement. The pain in my abdomen came back yesterday, the same as it was before. There is also some tenderness to the touch. Should I be eating a diet for those with ulcers? Since I was not having that pain anymore, I went back to eating my usual diet which includes spicy food, popcorn, and salad. Another piece of information is that when the pain developed initially, my bowels became looser and I was having more frequent bms.
