What Causes Constipation, Diarrhea And Right Upper Abdominal Pain?
gastro doctor for a long time. Had a colonoscopy 2 years ago and that showed no problem. Also had my pancreas checked by a specialist and that was fine. I have that pain every day. May be I need to have another colonoscopy done. My stools have changed, I am either constipated or have loose stool. I don't have a gallbladder. Had that taken out several years ago. The pain seems to be right under my right ribs.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your queries on HealthcareMagic.
The problem that you are facing currently is that of alternate bowel movements consisting of constipation and diarrhea and right upper abdominal pain.
Alternate bowel movements suggest a large intestinal problem.
A repeat colonoscopy is required despite the previous one being normal.
Alternate bowel movements are seen in cancer of large intestine, irritable bowel disease, irritable bowel disease to name o few conditions.
Right upper abdominal pain can be due to disease of liver or gall bladder.
Since, the gall bladder is already removed, the pain is probably due to involvement of liver.
Liver infections, hepatitis, liver enlargement, fatty liver can all cause liver associated pain.
You need to consult your gastroenterologist for further work up.
If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
