What Causes Constipation, Whitish Bumps On Nipples And Pink Spotting?

Question: i. I am39. I am one year post breast cancer treatment (chemo & radiation) for an estogen sensative cancer. (Cancer lump detected may2013) after a 4 month chemo induced menopause - My periods have been back for one year. Sometimes they come regularly as a 28 day cycle and other times they have been unpredictable. This month I thought my period was due any day and I had unprotected sex with my husband. When my period did not appear for a few days I decided to take an ovulation stick test - this showed a huge positive (meaning the test line was darker than the control line.) this positive sign continued for 2 days very dark. My calculations say that ejaculation followed 3 days later by possible ovulation could equal conception. Then the constipation kicked in and hasn't subsided for four days. Then I had 3 light pink spots followed the next day by a light brown mucus scant spotting. I also noticed XXXXXXX tubercles (whitish bumps on my nipple) it is on my non radiated breast nipple a lot and a little on the other one. They don't disappear when the nipple is soft. It's too early for a pregnancy test. With all my separate calculations due to the possible ovulation date....today could be the first possible period day. So far all I have had is more really faint pink spots. (my periods are normally super heavy) so if this is not pregnancy...my question is could these signs actually be - that my estogen is up and I could be in a danger period for growing tumours again that can turn into cancer? ( I have refused tamoxifen and I have a family history of cancer returning five years later)

Brief Answer:
Possible pregnancy or low progesterone in body, consult oncologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Having unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation (till 6 days post ovulation) leads to high chance of pregnancy. You are also having the history of light pink spotting and brown discharge nearly 5 days which could be the implantation bleeding occuring when the embyo (conceptus) implants in the uterine lining. However XXXXXXX tubercles do not occur so early in pregnancy.
I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done at home, and if it is positive, then do consult an OBGYN specialist for further examination, investigations (ultrasound) and treatment.
If the test is negative and you do not get your regular periods for next 7-10 days, still do consult the OBGYN specialist to look for the causes of premenstrual spotting and delayed periods.
The premenstrual spotting is usually due to the deficiency of progesterone in the body, and in this case the estrogen action is greater in the body. So, your concern is appropriate if you are not pregnant, and in that case do consult your oncologist for examination, investigations and appropriate treatment.
