Question: I have had thrush on a couple of occasions but cant seem to clear up now. It has now developed into a tight ring around the foreskin, that makes it uncomfortable to retract

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed constricting ring around foreskin due to repeated fungal infection making it difficult to retract foreskin over glans penis.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Are you diabetic?.

Repeated fungal infection is very common in diabetic individuals .

Get your sugar levels tests done to rule out or confirm the same .

Since you have difficulty in retarction of foreskin I would suggest you get circumcised .

This is a simple surgery done under local anaesthesia as a out patient procedure and offers permanent cure and helps to have enjoyable sex for rest of the life.

I am not happy to get circumcised. Is there not an alternative. Is there a tablet i can take to reset the bacteria levels in my body abd a different crram other than canesten for example? I have read that a topical steriod cream can help the tight area of foreskin once the thrush has been cleared up. I would appreciate hearing other options than circumcision as this is not a route i am comfortable with, thanks. Pics attached

Thanks for follow up and uploading photographs.

You have very bad fungal infection of genitals resulting into your foreskin being thickened and edimatous and has lost elasticity ..

Take antibiotics like Cefixime and anti fungal medication like Fluconazole twice daily alomg with topical anti fungal cream like Candid cream for local application for 10 days .

Once the infection subsides observe whether you can retract foreskin or not and consult qualified general surgeon for evaluation and further treatment .

Looking at the photographs I think you need to get circumcised.

I appreciate your answer. Can i just clarify the medication please. Is the antibiotics just one or 2 tablets as a one off or is a weeks dose? And same for the fluconazole, is that a daily dose also? The cream i understand to apply for 10 days. Thanks again

Thanks for your reply. I have ordered the antibiotics and anti fungal medication as recommended. However the dosage is just 2 tablets abd not ten days. Is this correct to take? Pictures attached.
