Eczematous dermatitis

Hi.

Thank you for the photographs. I have reviewed them. In the photographs I can see that there are dry patches on the skin with excoriations, probably due to scratching.
I will keep a possibility of eczematous dermatitis. Underlying dry skin is a predisposing factor.
I would suggest you to use an intensive moisturizer, twice daily. Use it on the whole of legs.
Use of soaps should be restricted to the minimum, i.e once daily. Mild soaps like Dove and Pears (glycerin soaps) would be better.
In addition to the moisturizer, If you were one of my patients I would have asked you to apply a potent topical steroid e.g Clobetasol propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily, specifically for the patches.
Topical potent steroids are prescription products. I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for a review as well as a prescription.

Hi.

I want to add that an OTC oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily will provide you symptomatic relief from itching.
Clobetasol propionate is generic name Or the active ingredient present in steroid creams. These creams are only available only on prescription.
I can only guide you regarding the problem and give you pointers in the right direction. For a prescription of a brand name of a topical steroid you need to visit a doctor in person.
Therefore I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for a prescription product that contains clobetasol propionate.
Regarding moisturizer, Vaseline moisturizing cream/lotion would be a good choice. It is available OTC.
