Brief Answer: proper management would help. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXX, Thanks for the query. Corn is a circular /conical area of thickened skin due to continuous pressure. You had already got it cut twice, without healing .Naturally you are eager to get it right. I understand your concern. I would like to suggest few things in this regard. * healing may be hampered due to conditions like Diabetes, periferal vascular disease. Please consult a physician/get investigated to exclude/treated these conditions. *To remove the causative factor is essential for healing of corn incision injury. - Abnormal anatomy of foot due to abnormal posture/accidents needs attention. -Misfitting shoes is common cause. The shoe must be changed. Only loose shoes won't suffice. Shoes should be fitting comfortably/supporting/properly cushioned so as to avoid direct pressure on affected area. A word of advice from an orthopedic doctor would help. -Abnormal gate can cause undue pressure on feet-needs to be corrected. *Local treatment of the incision wound comprises of -routine cleaning/dressing with antibiotic cream/ glycerin magsulph pack/ homeopathic ointment like calendula ointment after consulting your treating doctor would hasten healing. *Oral antibiotics/anti inflammatory drugs/vitamin C & B supplements would be advised as per need by your doctor after examination. * Avoiding stretch/strain to the affected part by giving rest to the part is a must. In short, a regular, systematic, patient care will definitely solve your problem. I hope you find the answer useful. Any follow up question will be answered by me with pleasure. Thanks.
