What Causes Cough Along With Throat Mucus, Throat Irritation And Body Aches?

Question: I have cough from yesterday and mostly it is irritating throat. I do get small amount of mucus when I cough and today morning when i woke up it was more.

I feel that mucus is only there and collected in my throat and no chest congestion. No cold as well.

Now i have little body pain without fever and took one dolo and sleeping.

Please advise any medication for the condition described above especially fir the irritating cough.

Hi XXXX,

I will advise you to take any over a counter cough and cold preparation like Sinarest/Vicks action 500--half tablet four times a day, Fexofenadine 120 (like Allegra) once a day, and any cough syrup containing Bromhexine/Guaphenesin--like Zedex/Grilinctus BM 2 tsp twice a day, with Paracetamol (crocin etc) whenever body ache is more. Take all for three to seven days.

If no improvement or you get breathless, please see a doctor immediately.
