Brief Answer:
Pneumonia, tuberculosis and bronchogenic carcinoma
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your querry. I admire your concern.
You have hemoptysis (coughing up of blood) with so many systemic symptoms along with hoarseness of voice. A bunch of diseases can cause these problems like bronchogenic cancer, pneumonia, tuberculosis and secondary metastasis along with superimposed infections. I will be happy if you kindly answer my following querries:
1. Is there any past history of TB or tubercular drug intake?
2. Is there history of any prior lung infections?
3. Are you a smoker?
You need to go for the following investigations straightway -
a. Sputum for acid-fast bacilli
b. Sputum for M (malignant cell
c. Chest X-ray
d. If chest X-ray is unrevealing then an HRCT (high resolution computed tomography) scan of thorax
e. Sputum for Gram stain and pyogenic culture
f. Hemoglobin, total count, differential count, ESR
g. Echocardiography and ECG
h. Bronchoscopic examination if above mentioned investigation remains non-contributory.
Consult a pulmonologist (chest specialist) immediately and get yourself examined properly.
If you have further queries you can write back to me.
Thank you.
