What Causes Cracking Sounds In Knee While Bending It?

Question: 13 year old daughters knee cracks every time she bends it.She plays on the Basketball team.

thanks for using healthcare magic. If there is only sound coming out of the knee and no pain then it is not a disease. It is common feature in young teenage girls. Before I advise you anything I want it few more details about this .
1. Since when she is having this pain?
2. Is she having any difficulty in sitting cross leg, stairs climbing or running?

I can assure you that if there is only sound and there is no pain during walking or using stairs then it is not a disease.
I would recommend you to meet a physiotherapist and teach him static quadriceps exercises. This will make her thigh muscles more powerful.
