What Causes Crying Of An Infant In Sleep At Night?

Question: Hello,
My 6 month old daughter starts crying in her sleep from the second half of the night (around2) every night. Her eyes are closed but she keeps crying for few seconds. If we cradle her on our lap, she is fine and sleeps. Again in the morning around 6/7, she does same thing. Till she is sleepy, she does this. But the moment she opens her eyes and sees us, she is smiling and her own self.
What can be wrong? Is it bad dreams? Or is she in pain? But if she is in pain, it should also be there when she wakes up. No?
We have recently started her on solids from one week (apples, banana, dal water), but she has not been having much. She was exclusively breastfed for first six months.
Please help.
Thanks,

Brief Answer:
It is night terror attacks or colic pain.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
It is called as night terrors or colic pain.
For colic pain hold the the baby upright.
If it is night terrors then you need not to worry for that.
May be due to inadequate sleep or some other stress factor.
Do not rush to the baby while she cries in the night, let her express its anger or stress for some time.
She will calm down automatically in 5 to 10 mins.
Hope I helped you.
