What Causes Curved Erections While On Steroids?
Question: I recently did a stareroid regime for an inner ear infection and am a 62 year old male. My erections are now bent and I'm wondering if this condition is related to the medications and whether it's permanent? I am also on Lipitor and a diuretic for Congestive heart failure.
Brief Answer:
Maybe Peyronie's disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It may be due to peyronie's disease, not likely due to the medication.
Peyronie's is a condition that is associated with the curvature of the penis that is worse with erections. Some persons may experience pain as well.
The exact cause of peyronie's is not known but there are medications that may sometimes help.
The response the medications can vary from one person to the next.
It would be best to be assessed by a urologist.
This would be the best specialist to assess and treat you.
Hope I have answered your query.
