Question: I have a dark black area under the skin on the bottom of my heel. No pain and no numbness. Should I be concerned.

I have reviewed all the available information. I have not found reasons at this time for you to b concerned. My advise is that you continue to put an eye on this spot that you have reported. The most expected outcome is that it would slowly be taken care of by the body. The most common cause of these spots are small bleeds underneath the skin. This is common in elderly as the skin is thin and allows for easy bleeding/bruising.

In all, there is no reason to get worried now. This is most likely a small bleed underneath the skin. It would get resolved spontaneously without the need of any medical intervention.
