What Causes Dark Brown And Reddish Bleeding Pattern During Menstruation?

Question: I bleed dark brown blood from January 17, until January 23 on the night of the January 23 the bleeding started to be a redish color it stopped on January 27 but after that it became a light brown. is this normal. I also been very sensitive when I wipe.. What will cause this and should I be worried.

By bleeding, are you referring to per rectal bleed / blood in stool.
Do you have fever and diarrhea with this bleeding.
Is there abdominal pain/ tenesmus.

it's like my circle.. when I say irritation its like sharp pain in my vagina it also come with some soreness after wipe. I'm not on any type of medication.

Hello again.

Such a bleeding pattern and change in color can be related to a number of causes that affect hormonal balance including fibroids, pregnancy, oral contraceptive pills, infections and menstrual irregularity especially related to PCOS.

Get a pregnancy test done and if negative consult your gynecologist to do a per vaginal , per speculum examination. Wet mount microscopy can be done of any discharge that is isolated. Treatment can be advised based on the clinical and lab evidence.
