Question: Hello, I have had some weird dark blood spotting out of my vagina for a couple weeks and this morning a sac like thing fell out. It had dark blood on one side and looked/felt like skin. What could that be?

Brief Answer:
Need some more details to help you better.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Are your menstrual cycles regular? If your menstrual cycles are irregular, it could just be thick uterine lining which got detached as part of menstrual bleeding and expelled. Are you sexually active? If so what you expelled could be a pregnancy sac.

It could also be an endometrial polyp.

Please provide the answers to the above questions to help you better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I do have regular periods and have never had anything like that come out. I am sexually active. I’m still bleeding a little. Is there something I should do to take care of it? Or should it heal on it’s own?

Brief Answer:
Please do a pregnancy test.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The first thing is to find out if you are pregnant. So get a pregnancy test done. Also get a ultrasound scan done. If ultrasound is normal, you should not worry. The bleeding will settle down on its own.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I did a pregnancy test and it came back negative. I felt fine yesterday, but today I have had some upper abdomen pains. Every once in awhile I get hot chills. Does that sound normal after a miscarriage?
I am currently on vacation, so I would rather not go see a doctor.

Brief Answer:
Please consult a doctor.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Please get an ultrasound scan done for abdomen and pelvis. If the scan is normal, there is nothing to worry from the gynecologic point.

Consult a physician for the abdominal pain.

Hope I have answered your query.
