What Causes Dark Red Bumps On Painful Frenulum?
Question: In the past few days, I have noticed a pulling feeling on my frenulum when I move my tongue. I just looked and saw two dark red/purplish bumps on the frenulum. There is no pain or discomfort. Should I be concerned?
Brief Answer:
For now, No. Observe again
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this pain and the bumps that you have reported. Red/purplish bumps probably signal blood leakage into the surrounding tissue probably caused by minor trauma. This would heal within a week and all symptoms would disappear even before that happens.
For now, you need not get worried or seek any special medical attention. Monitor and only seek further medical attention if symptoms persist more than a week or suddenly worsen.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for ore information and clarifications if need be.
