Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have viewed the images.
I can see dry, scaly, erythematous to violaceou patches on both forearms and hands. I would keep a possibility of lichen planus or psoriasis.
I would like to know whether you have any associated symptoms like itching?
Regards

Thanks for your reply.
Brief Answer:
Topical steroid cream and moisturizer
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
I suggest you to apply a moisturizer and a topical potent steroid cream e.g clobetasol propionate 0.05% cream. Mix them in equal proportions (1:1) and apply twice daily on affected areas. Potent topical steroids are prescription medications. You will not find them over the counter. Topical steroids which are available over the counter are very mild ones e.g cortisone cream (hydrocortisone 1%) and may not be very effective for your condition.
