What Causes Delay In Menstrual Bleeding After Having Primolut-N?
Question: I had taken primolut n for 3 days but its more than 10 days haven't got period yet. I went for ultrasound, dr said everything is fine abd endometrial thickness is 11mm. Even the pregnancy test is negative. Dr has suggested misoprost 200 to be taken vaginally for period to start. But i have read that this medicine is for abortion. Already i am having problems in conceiving. I want to know will this medicine cause problems in becoming pregnant in future and why this medicine is suggested.

Dr i want to know why this medicine is suggested and whats the harm of taking this medicine? We have actually planned for iui this month.

As per my knowledge it is an abortion pill and use for abortion, usually considered a safe drug and not cause future problem.
But as your endometrial thickness is 11mm but negative urine pregnancy test, if I am yourtreating doctor I would suggest you first get your beta blood hcg testing because chances of ectopic pregnancy should be ruled out before taking mesoprostol.
