What Causes Delay In Menstruation After A Spontaneous Abortion?
Question: I have a history of having done laproscopies(two) to get my chocolate cyst removed.I got my last laproscopy done some one and half years before.
I am trying to conceive and undergoing treatment for the same( hormonal injections for ovulation etc..)from october 2014 onwards.had a couple of IUIs in october and november. i did conceive in the month of dec 2014, but that ended in spotaneous abortion. On XXXXXXX 8th 2015 the bleeding started and the very next day i was told it got aborted.
I am still waiting for my periods to come. The bleeding was there just for 3 days and stopped.Should have i got my periods by this time or are there chances that i immeditiately conceived again. I did a couple UPTs at home last week but they were negative.
Any suggestions please, how long shud i wait more?

Brief Answer:
opt for withdrawal bleed with progestins
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
After the abortion on XXXXXXX 8th , your menses should have been expected by 10th of feb ideally . But it is likely to be delayed in cases of endometriosis sometimes and due to stress induced hormonal imbalances.
If you have already crossed two weeks after the due date , then you should opt for a ultrasound pelvis to check for endometrial thickness and if its more than 10mm , then you should opt for a withdrawal bleed with progesterones to resume your menses.
