What Causes Delay In Menstruation After An Abortion?
Question: Ok so its been two months now since the miscarraige, my hcg and prolactin are back to normal, my thyroid and pelvic ultra sounds were good, but still no period. Whats going on, why are they sending to the endocrinologist now?
Brief Answer:
Endocrinal causes need to be ruled out.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The absence of periods after a miscarriage can be due to stress, anxiety, increased blood loss during miscarriage or a hormonal imbalance. If the periods are absent for more than two months then an endocrine evaluation is needed to rule out any hypothalamic disturbance.
