What Causes Delay In Menstruation After Starting On Larin Fe?

Question: Dear Dr.,
I had vacuum abortion and had my first period on time. The first period was eight days long and a little bit more heavy than my normal. I also started taking Larin fe 1/20 as oral contraceptive after abortion. Now, my second period is missing. It is five days later than it is supposed to be. I also had the pregnent test and it is negative. Does that mean I am in trouble? Would this affect my fertility?

Brief Answer:
Not due to pregnancy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The absence of periods after starting an oral contraceptive pill is a normal finding. Since your pregnancy test is negative there is no need to worry. This is not due to pregnancy. Do continue taking your oral pills as scheduled. This is a common side effect of the oral pills. You need not worry.
