What Causes Delay In Period Inspite Of Having I Pill Post Sex?

Question: i took ipill after 24 hours from sex and i got my period in next seven days which was 10 days earlier then my normal period time now its been 45 days i didnot get my 2nd period.Please suggest what to do

I can understand your concern.

You should first go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If pregnancy test is negative, you should wait and watch. Period will resume shortly.

I pill causes withdrawal bleed say around 7 days after taking it. It can subsequently cause menstrual irregularities for 2-3 months where period can come early or late by 7-10 days from period date. So in all probabilities, the current delay is due to hormonal disturbance created by I pill. But as a rule, if you missed your period by 7 days, then pregnancy test should be performed.
