What Causes Delay In Periods After Taking Meprate?
Question: Hi doctor, I took Meprate 10mg in order to delay my periods. I took it for four days, twice a day. But even after 10 days of stopping the medicine, I did not get my periods. Then I took KModus 10 mg for 5 days, one tablet a day and now its five days of stopping that dosage, still no sign of period. I did had a home pregnancy test before starting modus 10mg course and it was negative. Also I had unprotected sex when I was on Meprate to delay my periods (that was my safe period too as I was expecting my period at that time). What could be the reason of me not getting my cycle?
Brief Answer:
Periods delayed due to excess hormone tablets
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I understand you wish to know why delay in getting cycles.
You should have waited for some more days after taking mepate.
Sometimes the cycles are delayed due to stress in family, profession, education, change of profession and change to new place.
You took another tablet modus and it further delays your cycle by increasing progesterone levels in the body.
This delay is unlikely to be due to pregnancy.
Now I suggest you dont take any medicine for next 15 days and wait for periods. You will get periods.
