What Causes Delay In Periods With A Negative UPT?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Apr 2015
Question: Hello. I missed my last period.......it was supposed to be right around the16th. I took 2 home pregnancy test and both came back negative. I have cramps like I was going to be getting my period but nothing................also I have had more gas than I usually have had in the past. A couple days after I was supposed to get it, it seemed like I was very wet . I feel the same - still have an appetite, not tired and actually have been more happy go lucky in the last couple of days. Can you give me any advice.

Brief Answer:
Not due to pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The delay in periods with a negative pregnancy test can be related to change in environmental factors, exercise, mild hormonal disturbance, etc. You can wait for one more week for the periods to start on their own. In case the periods do not start then get hormonal tablets prescribed from your gynecologist to have a withdrawal bleeding.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

Is there anything that I can do without having to take hormonal tablets to start the withdrawal bleeding? Or should I just wait until the next month to have my menstrual cycle to start again?
