What Causes Delay In Periods?
Question: My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex last month. Immediately after that she had her periods and on the second day of her period, she had an ipill (within the 72 hours deadline). However, this month, she missed her period by a week and she did home pregnancy test twice and got negative results every time. When her periods got delayed by two weeks, she visited a gynaecologist who prescribed her Modus tablets for 5 days. Before prescribing the same, she was asked to undergo pregnancy test and the result was negative again. During the period while she was having the Modus tablet, she felt some pain in the abdomen as well as nausea and body ache. But even after a week of having Modus, she is yet to get her periods. What could be the reason and how could her periods get back to a normal schedule? The prescription is uploaded for your perusal and further suggestions.
Brief Answer:
Wait for periods, no risk of pregnancy
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your anxiety related to the issue.
Firstly there is no risk of pregnancy as she had her period immediately after the sexual activity.
The delay was due to ipill intake and the anxiety you guys were suffering from so far.
It takes around 5-7 days usually for periods to commence after stopping modus intake so wait for a couple of days more as the pain she is having is an early indication of upcoming periods.
In case you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask.
