What Causes Delayed Menstruation And Fever?
Question: Hi, I had sex using condom in XXXXXXX Then I had normal periods in July, August and September. In September I had fever,so got some injections and medicines.. In October I didn't have my period and in November also I haven't had my period till now although I have tried a lot of home remedies to get periods. Please help me to get my period. Is there any chance that I'm pregnant?

At first instance, I feel that the medicines which you took for fever might be one of the cause for delaying your menses. Can you please list those medicines so that I can check them?

Actually I don't have the list of the medicines I took for fever as I was in some other city that time and Right now I don't have the reports or medicines' names. Paracetamol I took in large amount. I remember only this.
My period date is around 3rd of every month. My periods have been regular in the past. This is the first time that this kind of thing has happened. Also, I don't take any hormones,etc.
I'm taking all the hot things like jaggery,papaya,etc.
The doctor I visited yesterday asked me to take regosterone 5mg thrice a day for 5 days and then wait for the period. If then also I don't get my period then she'll do the tests. I'm mainly worried about pregnancy. Please help. I want my period at the earliest because diwali is there. I hope you'll understand.

you can take medicine as told by your gynecologist. it will surely help in getting periods.
you should go for ultrasound to rule out PCOS,thyroid profile, serum prolactin to know the cause of not getting periods on time.

Yes I had the home urine pregnancy test today morning only and it was negative. I don't understand what is the reason and why I'm not getting my periods. I think I will have to go for other tests.
