Brief Answer:
ipill causes hormonal imbalance

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand your concern.
Iam Dr.Srilatha gynaecologist.

The sysrone tablet is a norethistrone, a progesterone hormone.

It is used to postpone the periods usually.

So when the hormones are taken orally to postpone the periods that might cause hormonal imbalance.

And as you have taken ipill which is also a high dose progesterone ,it also causes hormonal imbalance leading to effect on timing and bleeding of the period.

So the delay could be due to hormonal imbalance created by ipill.

The chances of pregnancy are rare because ipill is effective in 95% cases if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.

So the delay might not be due to pregnancy.

I suggest you to wait for a week for spontaneous onset of period.

Nothing to worry.

Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.
Best regards...Dr.Srilatha

Brief Answer:
Wait for spontaneous onset of periods

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I understand your concern.
I got your query.

In my opinion it would be better if you wait for one more week for spontaneous onset of periods.

The periods might get delayed upto 1-2 weeks or sometimes more with Ipill intake.

But as a benefit of doubt I suggest you to do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

But even now I strongly feel the delay is due to hormonal imbalance but not due to pregnancy.

So there is nothing wrong in waiting for a week more.

If the test is negative you can wait for spontaneous onset of periods.

Nothing to worry as such.

Hope this helps.
Best regards....Dr.Srilatha
