What Causes Delayed Period With Negative UPT?

Question: I don't know whether I am pregnant or not. My period started of February 28th-5th of March. I dont know when i ovulated but i had intercourse every 2 days starting the 6th-16th of March. I did blood work on the 26th of March and it came back Negative. My expected period should have started on the 28th and no later than the 31st of March but I have yet to get it (April 3rd)

My question is, could there be a chance that the blood results were a false Negative?

There are two possibilities for not starting your period yet:
1. Probably you are pregnant. The pregnancy hormone concentration on 26th was not sufficient enough to be picked up by pregnancy test or the test was not performed as per instructions. Repeat the pregnancy test today. I advise you to do blood pregnancy test as it is more sensitive and reliable. The result will be confirmatory.
2. This month the period is delayed. One can have an occasional delayed period and this is normal. Even the emotional and physical stress can delay your period. If the pregnancy test result is negative take medroxyprogesterone 10 mg daily for seven days to start your period.
