What Causes Delayed Periods After Having An I Pill?

Question: Hello Sir,
Me and my wife had sex on 28th and 29th and she did take an i pill on 29th morning. Her next periods were due on 6th this month (last periods on 9th XXXXXXX with a 28 day cycle) but she hasn't got them yet. Both of us do not want a baby right now. Kindly suggest as we are worried whether she might have conceived.

Brief Answer:
not likely to be pregnant
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Your wife took the i pill at the right time.
As per your information , the ovulation would have been around 22 nd or 23 rd XXXXXXX (plus and minus 4 days) and you had intercourse on 28 th and 29 th ( although not in the safest of periods but still away from the ovulation period.
So it is unlikely that she might have conceived.
The period may be delayed a bit and is common with the stress and strains of life now-a-days, even the stress of getting pregnant.
Just relax, the periods will be soon, if not you can check the PT- urinary pregnancy test on 16 th July if there is no periods by that time.
Regards,
not likely to be pregnant
