What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking I Pill?

Question: Hi. My gf and me had unprotected sex on the morning around 10:30 of 25th July. And took the I Pill by 2:30 in the afternoon same day!!
She had her period by the 18th Of August. regular Course but has missed her subsequent courses. She says she has always been irregular but is there a chance of her being pregnant?? Or is it the I Pill messing up the system?

I can understand your concern, though.

The probabilities of pregnancy are very less because she had a regular period after I-pill.

Her period may be delayed due to so many reasons other than pregnancy like side effect of I-pill (in her case), tension, weight changes, PCOD, thyroid imbalance, hormonal imbalance.

First she should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy (though the prospects are very rare).

Then she should confer with a gynecologist and get her ultrasonography test done to rule out the cause.
