What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Postpone 72?

Question: hi..my girl frnds period date is on 21st every month. we had unprotected sex after her periods on 27th and we used the tablet postpone 72 within five hours. but today she has got periods...can u pls explain the situation...i am a bit worried..

Brief Answer: due to postpone 72 Detailed Answer: Dear XXXXXXX Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. The medication postpone 72 is hormone progesterone in high dose. This can cause irregular bleeding. To avoid confusion please abstain from unprotected intercourse in this cycle. Also consider 21st as period. Next cycle if bleeding delayed then do a pregnancy test.
