What Causes Delayed Periods And Thickening Of Endometrial Lining?
Question: Hi doctor I am 23 years of age I took unwanted kit on 2nd December 2014 following the next 4 medicines after 24 hours and 12 hours respectively and had complete abortion but I am not getting my next periods as it had to come on 3rd January I underwent ultrasound the result was that that endometrial lining has got thick the gynac gave me cefixime and gynaset tablets for 5 days to induce periods but after the whole dose have'nt got periods still. Is there anything serious? Will there be any problems in future?? Please guide me.

Thank you for your valuable suggestion sir . So i should wait for a week more? And if the periods dont come even after that then what should i do?

But doctor i took all mtp meds orally and not through vagina so will this ultrasound be really helpful in this case and is d&c procedure harmful as I've heard that it can cause infection in uterus. Please help me i am really very tensed doctor and thank you so much for your generous help. Please guide me further in this.

D/C is performed in perfectly aseptic conditions.
It will not lead to any uterine infections on routine basis,especially when performed in sophisticated centers.
Also during D/C you are placed under antibiotic cover to prevent any kind of infections.
I also appeal to you to stay relaxed and not tensed.
