Brief Answer: ZITOTECH IS NOT HELPFUL TO INDUCE PERIOD. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. If you have done home pregnancy test recently and ruled out pregnancy, then You need proper investigations for late period to pin point the diagnosis. In absence of pregnancy, underlying cause could be hormonal imbalance, Poly Cystic Ovary, mental stress, emotional upset, irregular diet, high prolactin level, over weight, pelvic infection, thyroid disturbance etc. In that case, one pelvic ultrasound scan and hormone test will be worthwhile to rule out the underlying cause. You must consult with your local GYNECOLOGIST for proper management. ZITOTECH contains Misoprostol as active ingredient and it is NOT useful to induce your period. It is used in MEDICAL ABORTION. Complete treatment depends on diagnosis of the case. In this case, you may require cyclic progesterone pill or regular combined hormonal pill to induce and regularize your monthly cycle. Kindly, procure a complete prescription from your treating doctor. In addition, you would take healthy diet with more green vegetables, drink more water, keep bowel habit regular, avoid mental stress by meditation or yoga, control body weight by regular physical exercise and maintain genital hygiene properly. Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query. Wish your good health and take care yourself.
