What Causes Delirium While On Latuda?
Question: hello- i have had harm ocd since the birth of my son with thoughts of shooting police stabbing killing my family i have been to many doctors with no success on medications currently i go to the univ of epnnsylvania and have been satrted on latuda 60 mg for 4 weeks with no relief what do u suggest for next treatment how do you treat you patients with these type of symptoms i am concerned latuda hasnt helped at all also i take klonopin at nite and i feel mentally confused can this drug have that affect

Now you are on Latuda. In my opinion, Latuda is not the best choice for OCD.
There is no strong research evidence of beneficial effects of Latuda in OCD.
If I would get to treat a case of OCD like you, my approach would be to add an antipsychotic drug like risperidone to SSRI (from among fluoxetine, paroxetine or fluvoxamine).
If there is no response to this regime after one month, I would add mirtazapine to SSRI.
OCD is a difficult to treat condition but an appropriate drug combination can help in many cases.
Along with drugs, psychological treatments like exposure and response prevention are also helpful and must be started under supervision.
Your mental confusion at night may be due to latuda.
I would suggest you to discuss these treatment strategies with your doctor.

i feeel the confusion is durign the day i thought that would be from klonopin i have tried multiple ssris but never together with an antipsychotic latuda isa n antipsychotic risperadal did not work ui was too sedated even on a low dose the thoghts are 24 hours with urges does that still qualify for ocd if psychosis what would the treatment be with medication

They are against my will but they are urges that feel like will come to life if it is psychosis what is the treatment as far as meds go? I fear this sometimes cause i am unable to control the thoughtts and urges

Can the thoughts and urges be all waking hours with ocd and have false memories where you are not sure if the event happened or not or if it is true?
