What Causes Dent On Breast And Pain On The Armpits?

Question: I just noticed a dent on my right breast it doesn't hurt what can cause this i have pain on the side of my armpit like it feels like a pull muscle im 39 can this be breast cancer
Brief Answer:
Ultrasonography of your right breast will be necessary...
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The dent in your right breast is most probably a cyst or fibroadenoma which is a harmless overgrowth of breast tissue.
Women your age are very prone to these kind of fibrocystic changes.
I will advise you to do an ultrasonography of your right breast which will identify any cyst.
The first sign of breast cancer often is a breast lump and i do not think you are having breast cancer.

I have read the dent can be tumor that arent seen or felt
Brief Answer:
Core needle biopsy to rule out malignancy
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Most dents in breast are benign condition.
It sometimes shrink or disappear on their own.
If any space occupying lesion is found in the ultrasonography then i would advise you to do a core needle biopsy to rule out malignancy.
This test uses a larger needle to collect tissue samples from the dent which go to a lab for analysis.
If the biopsy comes out as fibroadenoma which is a benign condition then you can go for cryoablation.
In this procedure a thin, wand-like device (cryoprobe) is inserted through your skin to the fibroadenoma.
A gas is used to freeze the tissue.
You do not need to worry and your symptoms suggest you are not having breast cancer.

Thank you but the dent is like a line i feel not a lump but a hard line as shaped of the dent i have thsts a line
Brief Answer:
Not breast cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As the dent is like a line and there is no lump there is more chance of it being not cancer.
But I will still advise you to do the ultrasonography to rule out the cause.
