Brief Answer:
Suspected IBD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.

From the symptoms you have mentioned it is suggestive of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Medicines you have mentioned do not cause this and he can continue with those.

Inflammatory bowel diseases are considered autoimmune diseases, in which the body's own immune system attacks the digestive system. There is irregular bowel habits like diarrhea and constipation along with pain in the abdomen in patients with IBD. This can be of two types:

Ulcerative colitis
Crohn's Disease.

Medicines can only be started after diagnosis. I suggest you to go for investigation like Colonoscopy and stool examination along with a clinical examination by gastroeneterologist. In the meantime change his eating habits. Give him high fiber diet and avoid milk fats.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
