Brief Answer:
Don't change physiotherapist.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your query.
Since your patella has been removed, so it will take a long time of about 3 months for full movements to occur.
Initially all patients feel pain while physiotherapy, but with time pain disappear and full movements occur.
You can also do flexion and extension exercises by seeing on youtube.
Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.
I advise you not to change your physiotherapist merely because of pain. Because new physiotherapist will again take time to know your present condition of knee joint.
I hope you have got your answer.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Physiotherapy for knee stiffness
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the response, my friend.
You can search on internet by writing strengthening exercises for knee, quadriceps strengthening exercises, physiotherapy for knee stiffness. You can find a lot of these on internet. There are books available in market which will help you a lot.
If you change your physiotherapist he/she may first again try to know about your knee stiffness by accessing your joint then apply force which may cause more pain to you.
So its batter you should not change your physiotherapist.
It is good that your knee has been bent to 40-90 degree in two days.
You should remember that 'no pain no gain'.
I hope you have got your answer.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the response.
Its good that you are getting benefit, keep on doing exercises as advised by your physiotherapists.
There are some home remedies for you-
1) Try taking a bath with Epsom salts. Run a tub full of warm water and add 2 cups of Epsom salt. Soak for 15 minutes (at least.)
2) 2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, massage it gently over knee two times day.
3) There are also good reports about the use of green lipped mussel extract.
I hope it helps.
Thanks.
