What Causes Difficulty In Conceiving When Diagnosed With PCOS?
Question: Hi. I went through a D&C in April 2015 and started TTC again since Oct 2015. It's been 3 cycles since I could not conceive my doctor has asked to take follicular study this month. At day 11 of my cycle I have multiple small follicles on both sides which are less than 10. Is this follicles size normal for someone with 26 day regular period cycles. The report says I have early triple line and 8mm endometrium. What does this mean. I am bit worried due to the small follicles size even on day 11.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Multiple small follicles in both the ovaries on day 10-11 is indicative of Polycystic ovarian disease.
It is also one of the reason for infertility and difficulty in conceiving, as it is associated with irregular or no ovulation at all.
I will suggest you to continue your follicular study for next one week to see whether there is any ovulation.
If not, then you may require ovulation induction drug like clomiphene to assist conception.

Thank you doctor. How can I have developed this when my periods are very regular and I had undergone a ultrasound check up in July when they had said everything was fine. Do I need to undergo any additional tests to confirm or are you sure I have pcos
