What Causes Difficulty In Losing Weight When Suffering From PCOD?

However now since past 3 months i am not loosing any weight even after regular exercise and medication from the doctor, I have been taking Myotol - F and Femella for past 2 months to this my doctor has added checkwt tablet and asked me to take it twice a day.
I am not having Thyroid nor Diabetes. How will checkwt help me??
Acts by inhibiting enzyme
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Checkwt acts by inhibiting the pancreatic lipase, the enzyme useful for breaking down the triglycerides in the intestine. It has no definite proven results as yet.
Though you do not have diabetes, PCOD is often associated with insulin resistance and Metformin often helps in such cases. Please ask your doctor about the same.
If there is resistance in weight reduction even after following the same treatment protocol as before, it needs to be seen if any hormone imbalances have developed. If not, it is a mere static phase and can remain so for quite some time before you see further changes. Dietary modifications may sometimes help.
In the current scenario, I do not see much benefit from the medication. You can change your diet and watch, instead.
Hope your query has been clarified. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.
regards,
Shanti.V.
