Brief Answer:
please meet your dentist!

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Please dont worry !!

there can be two reasons for his inability to open his mouth

The first one, which is more common is due to dislocation of the jaw joint, this is very common and is not hereditary!!

The second reason can be a dental infection , which is irritating his jaw muscles and causing them to go into spasm.this is also not hereditary

For both these you will have to meet a dentist , who will examine him and guide you further.

Thanks
