What Causes Difficulty In Passing Urine In A Teenager?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: my son is 13 years old and is having problems urinating he says there is no pain the urine is clear just not smaller amount
Brief Answer:
Urinating
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question.
The possibility of infection in this case is very low not only because there is no pain, but also because the incidence of urine infections in boys this age is very low. There could be a potential obstruction on the urine stream causing this to happen, or it could be a mild viral infection of the kidneys that is decreasing the urine volume.
I recommend discussing this with your doctor. They may ask for a urine sample in order to run some tests. But this should not remain a long term problem.
