What Causes Difficulty In Retraction Of Penile Foreskin?
My age -> 24,unmarried
Till yesterday the foreskin of my penis is intact and is not retracting. So i thought it is phimosis
but i tried a bit mild stretching under the hot shower and suddenly it retracted completely. There was no blood and mild pain but
After this the head of my penis is so sensitive it is too difficult for me to wear pants and even to walk. I couldn't even touch it properly. It's a bit red and and at the edge of the head along the band it is in a bit purple color. I'll attach the pics
Is this normal? Should i be worried? Should i consult a urologist?
How long will there be sensitivity?
Can you suggest anything to relieve this sensitivity?

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your message.
I can help you.
This is looking like tearing of the foreskin.
In fact many males do develop this after intercourse.
The first intercourse (in your case your pulling) tears the foreskin.
So, you need not worry too much yet.
Try taking some antibiotic and painkiller.
That should help you.
However, it would be good to meet a urologist in case there are some microtrauma. The redness and purple colour does indicate that there may be internal bleeding, and this blood has collected in these areas.
So the urologist can also decide whether they wish to drain this collected blood.
As of seeing the pictures, I think they would suggest conservative treatment only.
Meanwhile, you can initiate a momatasone or betnovate C cream to be applied locally and this may help you with the oversensitivity.
Do take antibiotics to make sure there is no secondary infection.
I have tried to make this as simple as possible.
Do let me know if you are going to visit a urologist.
The antibiotic would be better prescribed by a local urologist as per local infective possibilities of infection.
If however, you wish for my suggestion on the antibiotics, please do let me know.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
